The International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification, and Watchkeeping for Seafarers as amended in 1995 obliges mariners meet required competencies under the STCW code. These competencies and the code set forth a standardized program of instruction. This course is an approved, classroom and exercise based program of instruction designed to meet the requirements for certificate issue as specified in section A-V1/2 of the International convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watch keeping for Seafarers, 1995.
