Train the Trainer

The International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification, and Watch keeping for Seafarers as amended in 1995 obliges mariners meet required competencies under the STCW code, table A-VI/6. These competencies and the code set forth a standardized program of instruction. This course is designed to provide the student with applications and principals that aid the adult learner. This course is 4 days in length and is by design not a comprehensive course but will provide the student with the basic aspects of the learning process and methods to successfully transfer knowledge and skills to others. In addition the participant will become familiar with techniques to ensure that learning has taken place.
